Eye: Light amber. Medium-thick rims bleed thick drops and legs.
Nose: Light burn - spiced custard, dark red fruits like plums studded with clove, baked berries. Bruleed orange, more clove and cinnamon develop with air.
Palate: Vanilla and baking spices take center stage, exploding onto the palate with heat. Custardy, rich cinnamon follows, like a melted cinnamon ice cream. Hints of dark dried fruits towards the end. Mouthfeel is unexpectedly light, just coats the tongue.
Finish: Cinnamon custard with a dusting of cocoa.
Overall: Deliciously custardy - I love this mouthfeel and the cinnamon focus it carries. A little more fruit wouldn’t hurt, but let’s be honest it’s delicious as is.
Rating: 7.6
