Bardstown Bourbon Co. Chateau de Laubade

59.4% ABV/118.8 Proof
2000 Bottles Produced
Eye: Amber maple syrup, medium rims and syrupy droplet legs.
Nose: The bourbon notes hold their own against the finish. Dried berries and milk chocolate, corn sweetness underneath.
Palate: Very chocolatey and astringent. The oak is strong in both spice and body. Gets sweeter as you chew and let it sit on the tongue. Evolves deliciously. Mouthfeel is astringent but also makes your mouth water.
Finish: Finishes medium-length, acts like an epilogue.
Overall: Sweetness, oak, and bourbon are all in harmony from nose to finish. This viscerally feels like a great story - the nose and palate encompass an intriguing journey and the finish is the epilogue that gracefully wraps up all loose ends.
