NAS
Eye: Orange/copper. Very thin rim and syrupy droplet legs.
Nose: Vanilla and a hint of caramel. Corn followed by a strong burn. Candied cherries, like from a fruitcake. Caramel gets stronger after a few minutes.
Palate: Alcohol-soaked cherries, fresh and candied. Oak woodiness, a nice spice that hangs around. Cherries still the star after a few minutes. Mouthfeel is light but coating.
Finish: Finish keeps the stone fruit party going with a pleasant lingering heat. Air opens up the bourbon characteristics.
Overall: A great cherry-forward bourbon. A bit one-note but it’s a note I like so I’m ok with it.
