Old Weller Antique Bayway Pick
Old Weller Antique Bayway Pick
Buffalo Trace
53.5% ABV/107 Proof
NAS, Wheated Mashbill
Eye: Orange blossom honey, medium rims and thin legs.
Nose: Sweetened cornbread and a little heat. There’s a sweet but dark note that adds a ton of body to the nose. Plenty of orange zest, smells like an Old Fashioned.
Palate: Heat hits the corners of the mouth but is immediately followed by lots of wheater goodness and caramel. Heat is muted the rest of the way while the palate becomes heavily sweet, like a wheated Manhattan. Orange sticks around through a creamy, coating mouthfeel and very long finish.
Finish: Very long, wheated Manhattan.
Overall: Delicious - wish I knew about this when it was available!
