Old Weller Antique 107
Old Weller Antique 107 Review
Buffalo Trace
53.5% ABV, 107 Proof
NAS
Eye: Amber, reddish hue. Medium rim and syrupy legs.
Nose: Soft - wheat notes, lack of rye is apparent. Vanilla, caramel, typical bourbon notes carry through. Honey and more sweetness develops after some air.
Palate: Very slight heat, but pleasant. Vanilla pops up right away with a bit of orange zest. Great sweet-heat balance. Mouthfeel is mildly coating and medium-bodied.
Finish: Long, sweet, and bourbon-y in every way.
Overall: For me, the Old Weller Antique 107 lives up to the hype (if at or close to SRP). An excellent bourbon - love the citrusy orange zest and the luscious mouthfeel. One of the top wheaters I’ve had so far.
