Jack Daniel’s Barrel Proof Rural Inn Pick #1
Jack Daniel’s Barrel Proof Rural Inn Pick #1
Jack Daniel’s Distillery (TN)
67.85% ABV/135.7 Proof
NAS
Eye: Finished caramel sauce.
Nose: Tight, not unexpected given the high proof. Some artificial banana peeks out.
Palate: There’s the JD flavors! Caramelized/bruleed banana, custard, cinnamon, clove, and leather. Really good stuff here. Mouthfeel is full and coating.
Finish: Keeps the bruleed banana going, adds a slightly bitter nut note. Oak astringency hits and the proof kicks up a notch at the back of the throat.
Overall: I’d buy this at a reasonable price. JD on steroids.
Rating: 7.7
