Four Roses Single Barrel OESK “Molly's"

Four Roses

56.7% ABV/113.4 Proof

10 Years, 2 Months

Eye: Orange blossom honey. Medium but unstable rim with syrupy legs.

Nose: Oak spiced vanilla cake, like a fall baking loaf. Minimal burn. Caramel, too.

Palate: Spicy for a second, then goes to a more manageable level. This tastes like pure rye-mashbill bourbon, like an OGD or ECBP at a lower proof. Cinnamon and very little fruitiness. Mouthfeel is coating, rich, and medium-bodied.

Finish: Highlights the cinnamon once again and adds some custardy notes.

Overall: After the initial burn, this becomes a pleasant drinker. Cinnamon-forward and custardy - a little one note but enjoyable nonetheless.

Rating: 6.5
