Four Roses Country Lane Liquors (WY) OESF

Four Roses

Warehouse KE

56.1% ABV/112.2 Proof

10 YO

Eye: Manuka honey, thin rims and droplet legs.

Nose: Rye-forward, soft herbs. Little heat, unsweetened cornbread.

Palate: Tip of the tongue heat spreads to the rest of the tongue over time. Raspberries, lots of berries and cherries (or stone fruit). Chew opens up chocolate notes and more raw vanilla heat. Mouthfeel is viscous, coating, and filling.

Finish: Caramel-forward with baskets of stone fruits and mulling spices.

Overall: This is a good 4R pick, but not an excellent one. The heat sticks around a little too long and a little too strongly to the point where it starts detracting from the flavors.

Rating: 5.9

2 | Poor | Forced myself to drink it (Buckshee Bourbon and Rye)

1 | Disgusting | Drain pour (Virginia Distilling Co. Cider Cask)
