Bulleit (Sourced from Four Roses)
52% ABV/104 Proof
Barrel 1-B3-0205, NAS
Eye: Golden honey, medium rims and lots of droplet legs.
Nose: Lots of vanilla, very little alcohol on the nose. Fruity and tart, like if Juicy Fruit gum was made with real fruits. Hints of spice but overall very light. Brioche French toast, eggy and sweet.
Palate: Mild burn on the front palate, VERY fruity. Red, orchard, and stone fruits are all here. Rye is in the background but creeps up a little more with each sip. After the first sip, no burn at all. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium-bodied and not coating.
Finish: Medium length, lots of caramel and boozy creme brûlée.
Overall: Great-to-excellent. Whatever label this is under, its great juice and this is a bottle I will enjoy sipping for a long time. After some air, this opens up to a cinnamon-heavy Hot Toddy.
